Why is this formula
important?
DLPA consists of
both the L and D form of phenylalanine. The "L" form influences dopamine and
norepinephrine production and therefore has influence over mood-elevating
chemicals in the brain, such as dopamine The "D" form of phenylalanine, appears
to block a nervous system enzyme that amplifies pain signals.
DLPA may be
helpful for easing pain and for mood support. May have some effect in promotion
of energy, alertness and focus

Interactions/Precautions
Do not take DLPA if you
have Phenylketonuria (PKU), a rare, inherited metabolism disorder. People
with this disease lack an enzyme that converts phenylalanine to tyrosine and
must follow very strict dietary guidelines to prevent toxic damage to the
nervous system. |
