What is Coenzyme Q10? |
|
Coenzyme Q10, ubiquinones or
mitoquinones belong to a group of lipid-soluble (lipid = fat) benzoquinones
involved in electron transport in mitochondrial preparations. Thus said, Co-Q10
is a VITAL enzyme to all aerobic structures, for it is involved in energy
transport! The sites in the human body
which require the most mitochondrial action are those which are
constantly at work: the heart, lungs, brain. Due to this fact, it is
these organs, the heart especially, which are compromised due to
malfunctioning or inadequate mitochondrial activity. |
|
Why is Coenzyme Q10 important?

Low Coenzyme Q10 levels have been linked to poor heart functioning, and
thus CoQ10 has been used as a nutritional supplement in protection of
cardiac muscle in surgery. CoQ10 also plays a role in blood vessel
health, blood pressure, muscle degeneration and oral hygiene.
Ultimately, CoQ10 aids
heart health, post-operative recovery, high blood pressure, oral hygiene and
immunity.

Why is Hemp Oil important? (i.e.
what is hemp oil?)

Intensive
Nutrition's cold pressed, hemp seed oil is derived from the seed of the female
hemp plant (Cannabis sativa) and possesses a very high nutritional value. As an Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) Hemp Oil provides
the ideal 3:1 balance of Omega-3 to Omega-6 oils. It also contains both 3, 6 and
GLA oils.
These essential fatty acids are the building blocks of longer chain fats, i.e.
EPA and DHA, that occur in cold-water fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines). Hemp
oil also contains 1.7% of GLA or gamma-linoleic acid. GLA stimulates growth of
hair and nails, improves health of skin and can reduce inflammation. May support
immune health. Because we can
not synthesize EFA's, supplemental EFA is suggested. Due to increasing levels of
contaminants found in our food supply, specifically in coldwater fish, hemp seed oil is an ideal supplement.
|
What are Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's)?

Essential fatty
acids refers to two fatty acids,
Linoleic (LA) Omega-6 and
Linolenic (LNA)
Omega-3 acids, that our body cannot synthesize. It is very
important to balance Omega-3 and Omega-6 levels. More often than not, the
American diet provides more Omega-6 than Omega-3. Hemp Oil helps restore
this balance and lead the way to better health. |
|
Why is
sublingual/slow-dissolving better?

Like our Folixor products, sublingual and/or
buccal formulations allow for the best absorption pattern
possible as the nutrient is gradually absorbed into the
bloodstream, allowing the body the most efficient processing
possible, for the nutrient remains in the bloodstream for a
longer period of time.
