High purity amino acid
(code #58A) |
 |
|
L-Alanine is a non-essential amino acid (non-essential = can be
made by the human body and does not need to be acquired from food/diet). It is
involved in the energy-producing breakdown of glucose. Alanine is responsible
for making "energy" available to the body when sudden activity ensues (e.g.
"flight" response or sprinting down the street) and/or extra energy is needed
(intense aerobic activity).
|
|
Why is L-Alanine important?

L-Alanine may be
helpful as a supplement for individuals who maintain intense
and/or rigorous workout routines. Alanine has been found in
prostate fluid and there is some evidence that it may play a
role in prostate health (Alanine coupled with Glycine and
Glutamic Acid).
