The Calcium Citrate/Malate
formula is optimal for individuals who need the most bioavailable and
absorptive form of Calcium. Our
Calcium Citrate/Malate
formula contains Boron and Lactase enzyme to provide this increased
bioavailability. University of Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas,
Texas study revealed that Calcium Citrate absorption was 2.5 times
greater than that of Calcium Carbonate. Head
researcher Dr. Howard J. Heller concluded that, "...there is significant
difference between calcium supplement formulations which may effect the
overall benefits consumers receive, particularly those at risk of
osteoporosis." (Journal of Clinical Pharmacology 1999;39:1151-1154)

What does Boron do?

Boron aids Calcium absorption. In a study carried out by
the U.S. Department of Agriculture, post-menopausal
women who took daily doses of Boron (3 mg) lost 40% less
Calcium when urine samples were taken. Research
has also revealed that the body may need Boron to
synthesize estrogen, Vitamin D and other steroid hormones. Boron may also
protect these hormones from rapid breakdown.
|
|
What does lactase
enzyme do?

Lactase enzyme helps Calcium breakdown and absorption.
|
|
What does Vitamin D do?

Vitamin D aids calcium absorption by promoting
mineralization of Calcium.
|
|
